Services We Provide
Technical Assistance (TA) is a critical component of the Center's mission to disseminate current information on family-centered services, policy and program development, and implementation of evidence-based practice. TA activities collaborate with and support strategic efforts of national and regional agencies to strengthen services to families.
As the federally funded National Resource Center for In-Home Services from 2009 to 2014, we provided technical assistance to 31 states and 54 tribes to build capacity to provide effective and promising alternatives to out-of-home placement.
Staff and consultants for the NRCFCP draw upon a broad knowledge base encompassing critical developments in family and child welfare policy, systems reform issues, diverse program models, contemporary practice methods, and comprehensive evaluation designs. Technical assistance consultations are designed to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of family-centered, culturally responsive, and community empowering programs and related initiatives.
Areas in which the NRCFCP offers technical assistance include:
- Assessment
- Organizational development
- Cultural competence
- Child welfare practice & intervention
- Supervision & management
- Community development
- Evaluation & outcomes
- Wraparound services
