The Center for Public Health Evaluation and Research
The Center for Public Health Evaluation and Research (TCER) conducts rigorous evaluation and research in public health and other areas such as disparities, early childhood and community initiatives. Our staff have expertise in fields including epidemiology, public health, community and behavioral health, public policy, social work, social psychology, sociology, criminal justice, law, child welfare, early childhood education and statistics. Evaluation and research plans are developed with project partners to gather data on the best measures for outcomes and results, and the actions and processes that produced those results. All research and evaluation staff have completed University of Iowa Institutional Review Board (IRB) training for human subjects protections which conforms to federal requirements under the Federal Wide Assurance (FWA00003007) and the American Evaluation Association's Guiding Principles.
