The Iowa Peer Workforce Collaborative’s program manager, Kellee Thorburn McCrory, was a panelist at NAMI Iowa’s 2024 Mental Health Day on the Hill  February 20, 2024, in Des Moines. Kellee will be a panelist for a discussion “Solutions to Support a Thriving Mental Health Workforce” featuring the following experts:

· Jason Haglund, Founding Member and Senior Consultant, Rural Policy Partners

The panel will explore innovative ways to address mental health deserts in rural areas, plug Peer Support Specialists into the behavioral health workforce, and maximize the skillsets and reach of community-based therapists.
